Internet Computer's 100% Surge: What's Driving It?

Internet Computer (ICP) Skyrockets? Don't Buy the Hype.

Alright, alright, settle down, crypto bros. Internet Computer (ICP) is up 37%, 100% in a week, whatever... So what? You're telling me to get excited about a pump based on...what exactly? Internet Computer (ICP) Explodes by 100% in a Week: What’s Driving the Surge?

"Decentralized Internet": Yeah, Right

I keep seeing this phrase thrown around: "a fully decentralized and censorship-resistant form of the internet." Give me a break. Every crypto project promises decentralization until they get big enough to start acting like the banks they supposedly hate. Remember that whole "the internet can't be censored" thing? Good times.

The claim is that developers can put dApps directly on the blockchain, cutting out those evil "bridges" that keep getting hacked. Okay, fine. Less bridges could mean less attack vectors. But it also means everything is now riding on one blockchain. Put all your eggs in one basket, why don't you?

And let's be real, "strong development activity" doesn't mean jack. There's always "strong development activity" right before the project implodes. Developers are getting paid, offcourse. They're gonna say it's all going great until the money runs out.

The real question nobody seems to be asking is: Who's actually using this thing? Are regular people ditching Facebook and Twitter for ICP-powered alternatives? I highly doubt it. It’s probably just bots talking to other bots.

Sentiment Shifts and Skeletons

Oh, and we're seeing a "meaningful sentiment shift" according to some analysts? Analysts who are probably bagholders trying to pump their investment. "Sentiment" is a fancy word for "whatever the loudest people on Twitter are saying."

The article mentions "skeletons in the closet waiting to be unearthed." Now that's the kind of honesty I like to see. Because let's be honest, every crypto project has a closet full of 'em. It's just a matter of time before they come tumbling out.

Internet Computer's 100% Surge: What's Driving It?

And here's another thing that bugs me: This whole comparison to Zcash. "ICP could rise in a manner similar to ZEC." Yeah, and I could win the lottery tomorrow. Doesn't mean I'm gonna bet the house on it. These "analysts" are just throwing darts at a board, hoping something sticks.

Bull Runs and RSI: A Contradiction?

So, some "analysts" (again, who are these people?) are predicting ICP could hit $12, even $15. One delusional optimist thinks it could go above $50. $50! That would require a market cap of $23 billion. Let's get real.

But then, the same article points out that the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is flashing "overbought." Meaning it's due for a correction. So which is it? Is ICP going to the moon, or is it about to crash back down to earth?

It can't be both.

I guess the play is to buy high and sell even higher? Is that the plan?

Then again, maybe I'm the crazy one here. Maybe I'm just too cynical to see the "innovation" and "potential" that everyone else is raving about. Maybe ICP really is the future of the internet.

Nah.

This Ain't No Revolution

It's just another crypto pump based on hype and hopium. Don't fall for it.
